      An institution with conflicting priorities and vague direction.

      Pros

      Working with Cadets is a rewarding experience of mentorship.

      Cons

      High premium placed on control and dominance as organizational values. Very little interest in "excellence" when compared to the warm blanked of failure avoidance. Abnormally high rate of officers who fail to promote on account of their tour at the Academy. Low opportunities for responsibility, supervision, or career success.

      The command is hypocritical and does not listen to the cadets.

      Pros

      Great people working on a very focused and intrinsically rewarding mission. A fantastic facility with impeccably maintained grounds.

      Cons

      Everything is hard... the weight of government bureaucracy is not well aligned with the flat governance expected in higher education. The result is paralysis and paperwork that erodes everyone's time and motivation.
