Great people and flexibility, but pay and management issues
Pros
Good people, solid project teams, interesting clients, tons of freedom and flexibility
Cons
Poor Pay & Shady management Depending on what pay you start at, they'll really restrict you on growth in salary. They do NOT pay according to industry standard for your job title/responsibilities, rather they pay individually according to how you started. So for people who go through the internship program, you get pretty low pay as you get promoted. Management is also pretty shady about this topic and will gaslight you into believing you should feel bad for wanting to get paid according to your responsibilities and title rather than tenure or according to their "brackets". Overall a really good place to work, especially to get your foot in the door to the industry, but make sure you're open to other opportunities since your pay scale will jump drastically going elsewhere. If you work here - just like any place, advocate for yourself. This company has changed to be MUCH more corporate since it's acquisition. Coastal will take advantage of you - by allowing you to take on as much work as possible that's outside of your normal role without paying you for it (ex. Consultants doing Solution Architect Work).
