Pros

Hourly pay is competitive, remote working environment when you're not in the field, there is a technology/cell phone stipend

Cons

The company does not offer a 401(k), provides no sick time, and offers very limited PTO. They do not provide you with your own computer, you have to come with your own. Management highly micromanages which is terrible. I was laid off without any prior notice or severance pay. Employees are expected to make house calls in very remote and rural areas. Employees must use their personal phone for massive work related work calls to the public. Additionally, the organization lacks diversity, and it’s clear that inclusion is neither reflected nor encouraged — the majority of members within Coates workforce look exactly the same. The health insurance company is unheard of.

Coates treats all of their employees like family. I loved working with everyone that I came into contact with at Coates

Cons

Nothing was wrong with my time with Coates. I wish my project went longer
