Pros

Meaningful, mission-driven work supporting youth in crisis. Gained hands-on experience in advocacy, crisis response, and trauma-informed care. Good health benefits and PTO.

Cons

Inconsistent leadership and communication. Limited emotional support and workplace accommodations for staff. Very high emotional demands without enough support, leading to burnout. Limited advancement opportunities unless you are strongly favored by upper management; promotion did not feel consistent or transparent.

Pros

This is by and far the best employer I have ever had (and I've had a lot). This company puts your work-life balance at the forefront and is so welcoming to people from all walks of life. I work with amazing co-workers who are supportive, collaborative, and considerate of work-boundaries. All Staff meetings keep all employees on the same page and provide valuable training opportunities to stay trauma-informed and supportive of growth and inclusion. SO many pros.

Cons

The only con is the pay, and even that is arguable when you look at the immense pros. This organization does the BEST it can to supply employees with competitive pay while ensuring as much funding as possible goes toward the programs that help homeless and at-risk youth.
