Pros

Nice building, Could choose start time, made some great friends.

Cons

Where to begin.... Codilis & Associates was my very first post-college job and I was excited to dive into the professional workforce. Codilis is the exact opposite of professional. Middle-aged women acted like they were back in high school (gossiping, avoiding work, crying at their desks about personal issues, lying, etc.) Some employees would get bombarded with work and my specific department would not allow overtime. While these employees were frantically trying to get everything done in the 8.5 hours allotted, other employees would sit at their desks with nothing to do. Management didn't trust these employees to actually do anything productive. Don't ask me why they kept these employees around. Everyone has to go to training for three days once they get hired. The training was totally useless and I did not learn a single thing about what I was expected to do in my position. I talked to my manager a total of two times in the almost two years I worked there: once during my yearly interview, and once when I quit. She would show up hours late to work every day and then would close herself off in her office for the rest of the day. She was completely and absurdly useless. She would forget to put our raises in to be processed for weeks and would never promptly return emails. When people would confront her about not doing her job she would go to the CEO to come to her rescue. She was the exact opposite of what I envision a good leader should be. The pay is absolutely horrible and the raises you get are dismal (literally cents). Any review that says they have a competitive salary is clearly written by management. If you take a few extra minutes for lunch you better stay late or you will get a passive aggressive email from one of your leads. In almost two years of working there I rarely got compliments or motivational words, and I worked my butt off for them. The only time I was ever praised was when I told them I was quitting. Too late for that. I am glad I worked at Codlis though, because I am so grateful to be at my current job now. Codilis & Associates is a toxic environment and I wouldn't recommend working there to my worst enemy.

Pros

Met a few people who will remain life long friends

Cons

-TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT -TERRIBLE PAY -Management would rather fire the employees who came in and worked their butt off everyday then get rid of the ones who made little to no effort what so ever and who consistently messed up files on a daily basis. -Constantly reprimanded for what a terrible worker you are instead of being praised for everything that you have done well for this company. -Constantly being watched like a hawk. If you took a 31 minute lunch break, you best believe you were getting an email from management stating that you took over the allotted time for lunch. Even though some of their attorneys can waltz in and out of the office whenever they feel like without so much as even a slap on the wrist. (knowing this from experience from working under an attorney who showed up to work 4.5 hours late sometimes and that was being deemed ok) -You will constantly be set up for failure. It doesn't matter how long you've been at this company, if your leads/supervisors/managers don't like you, they will ABSOLUTELY FIND A WAY TO FIRE YOU. *Disclaimer, don't let the positive reviews fool you on here, management constantly trolls sites like these to make up for the fact that everyone dislikes working for this company.

Pros

They paid biweekly They had pizza once a month The coffee was good. Fresh ground.

Cons

Very high turnover *huge red flag* Every keystroke is monitored Breaks were monitored through your PC Training was scattered, at best This company is a foreclosure firm that does very very well. Every position is compartmentalized to such an extent that if they let someone go or the person quits they can easily hire and train someone to take their place in a very short time. That keeps the cogs turning, which is all the firm cares about. Working there was like working a factory job...one job...keep doing it...over and over and over. If you want a job that requires you to think, pass on this one. There are high workloads and they have established quotas. If you don't meet the quota, you will be written up. Very few people that work there have legal degrees. Many of them work there simply to have a job. It really shows because everyone complains incessantly and nobody is really happy there. I was so very happy to leave that job after a few months. Take heed of any firm that hires you without walking you through the building. The security is tight there because they are afraid that a disgruntled plaintiff that lost their home will break in and shoot up the place. I'm serious - they have cameras all over the place. If you let anyone into the building that does not have an ID badge (but you know works there) you will be fired on the spot.
