Pros

Remote position, effective AI tools

Cons

Aggressive productivity standards enacted after being employed for a short time: 2 months. Low pay compared to similar work at other legacy insurance companies. You are told when training that as long as you follow the Work Instructions and ensure doing the prior authorizations correctly- you will be fine. But Work Instructions are NOT updated, then it is challenging to find the answer. Slack is used for searching and asking questions, or visiting one of the multiple Zoom rooms. You are on camera for entire shift in a Zoom room. It seemed to me leadership does not care about precision and doing the job thouroughly but more so doing as many cases as possible- yet you are audited to do cases a certain way and that certain way differs from one Subject Matter Expert (SME) to another. The nurses are teaching the AI chatbot how to get smarter and take over doing the simpler cases, But the chatbot assists the nurses as well all while the nurses are teaching the chatbot.

Pros

Work from home, equipment is provided

Cons

Monotonous work. Low pay. Poor communication. High turnover. Improvements and fixes to processes and tools take a very long time, if they are done at all. PTO is hard to get, especially on shorter notice. Very poor communication; new processes are implemented without notice or training to those who use them. Aggressive productivity and quality monitoring. Work life balance is declining - was told during hiring process that working holidays was voluntary yet now holidays are becoming mandatory for some employees.

Pros

Work from home, computer equipment is provided.

Cons

Repetitive work, aggressive productivity and quality standards, low pay, poor treatment of employees. Was told during hiring process that working holidays was voluntary, recently mandatory holidays for some employees were implemented. Employee requests for process or software improvements are delayed for months and years, if implemented at all. High turnover. Poor communication. Process changes go into effect without notifying or training employees.
