It is to your benefit if you are the one being "favoured" by the boss. Despite the employer's insufficiencies and that one toxic colleague, other colleagues are helpful and kind. (help each other when the toxic colleague blames others for her own wrongdoing)
Cons
Favouritism at its best from the employer and selective blindness to issues that have long been occurring in the firm. This is a firm with no future prospect, you are expected to look for business and do marketing but you are not allowed to leave the office to do so.
