Pros

I have learned a lot about what not to do while working here for a few years I can now manage 100 projects at a time efficiently as that is whats always expected of those not in management. I have become a real self starter as there is no support whatsoever from Creative Directors or upper management.

Cons

Salary good to start but get used to excuses once raises/bonuses are due, horrible hours. Parent Company flips the switch on when people get laid off WITH NO KNOWLEDGE of what is actually going on at the agency. Not enough people to complete workload most of the time. If you work here YOU WILL BE LIED TO on a regular basis. No raises, no bonuses. executive creative directors make way too much for the contribution they offer. ALL CHIEFS NO INDIANS. Not enough people like me with boots on the ground doing ACTUAL WORK. All pointless meetings, no productivity. The top Creatives have stagnated and are rotting the Agency from the inside out like a moldy, worm ridden strawberry. Everyone who is good at what they do runs away from this place, as they should. Good luck un-seating one of these monuments to mediocrity from their high horse. NO ADVANCEMENT whatsoever. I couldn't take it anymore had to get out.

Toxic place to work, with no sign of any improvement to come

Pros

You may meet a few quality, intelligent people - who have also been tricked into trying this place - or continue to fool themselves that they can make a difference with their good intentions. You may be exposed to some quality brands.

Cons

Management is ... just non existent by it's true definition. The way too top heavy slew of directors are protected by some sense of tenure or the buddy system, and provide no productive leadership at all. There is no mentoring or growth opportunity. It's motivation by fear at every turn. If you aren't "friends" with the "right" people here, you are doomed. It's not about quality of work or capability. Oh ya - and they make you physically sign in everyday - because in case you didn't get the message, you are not a trustworthy, professional adult. The digital department is a complete joke. So - if you are planning on a future career - this isn't the agency for you. You won't learn anything. You won't see anyone who is held accountable for actual thinking; it's all just finger-pointing incompetence. You will probably hurt your future interview potential, because who really cares about shelf promotions anymore? There is no real digital work coming from this agency and no understanding at upper management levels of the changes needed to support atempting better digital work.

Pros

-The people are absolutely fantastic (apart from group director level and above). Team members are generally very hard working and are willing to help if you if they have time in their schedules.

Cons

-Upper management has completely lost touch with the company, even though they believe they have their fingers on the pulse. -There is little to no mentor ship for new or junior employees. It is a constant fight for people to gain the information necessary to do their job, which is often leads to their detriment. -Salary is TERRIBLE if you work on the account side. You have to fight for every raise you get, if you're even lucky enough to receive the meager raise you requested. -Reviews are not done in a timely manner. I knew people who had worked there for two or more years without receiving feedback on their performance. Even when reviews are done, most people feel slighted by compensation they received. -Bonuses are often given out to the people who aren't necessarily deserving. I knew people who came in late and left early to receive a nice bonus while other people slaved away and never recieved credit for their hard work. -There is a definite sinking ship mentality. During my tenure I saw multiple layoffs which targeted people who didn't necessarily make the "big bucks" while many of the people making large amounts of money were kept on. Internal politics are huge at this agency. -Too many chiefs, not enough indians. -Work is not distributed evenly amongst teams. There were teams that were able to leave at 5:30pm for months at a time while there were other teams in which people didn't see their families during the week due to the heavy workload. -The rate of company turnover is startling. It is not a rare occurrence to see employees helping each other find jobs outside of the company (please see the lone pro comment on how amazing the people are). -Too. Much. Work. Not enough people (or people willing to work hard).
