      Pros

      Used to be a great company that cared about its employees. Benefits were good but slowly going away.

      Cons

      Do not expect to be promoted based on your knowledge and ability. The newbie that comes in and knows the buzzwords of lean are promoted and it doesn't matter if they know manufacturing.

      Pros

      There are a few very talented and professional employees in accounts payable and collections! Overtime for some hourly employees is allowed.

      Cons

      This company is unprofessional and unethical. Management does not tell the EMPLOYEES or CUSTOMERS the truth about many things. You will rarely (almost never) have any promotions from employees in Colfax! Almost all lower and middle management positions are filled from new hires and not from qualified Colfax employees. There is entirely too much favoritism within this company!

      Pros

      If you like train wrecks - this one is a fun one to watch. Like a Shakespearian tragedy, you can get wrapped up in the story - the sound and fury, if you will.

      Cons

      If you're on the train - not so fun. They have one way to appease wall street - cut people, close factories and move manufacturing to China.
