Toxic Environment

Pros

Nice office location in South San Francisco Some good people still around

Cons

The new CEO's turnaround strategy does not seem to be working even thought he forces people to speak at all-hands meetings on how excited they are about his successes. Many members of the C-suite brought in by the new CEO worked for him before but are not nearly qualified for the positions they hold at CollabNet. Everybody is fearful of the CEO and prefers not to challenge him. The environment in the organization is toxic with everyone more focused on covering their butts instead of coming up with the next big thing. The morale is at an all-time low with exodus of talent ongoing

Politics Come First

Pros

There are restrooms and a kitchen with running water, albiet the huge gaps between restroom stalls are duct taped for privacy. Can leave early every day regardless of workload. No real consequences for shoddy coding or failure to meet commitments.

Cons

Terrible management in Engineering, nearly all decent or better employees have left the company due to this. Management appear more interested stroking each others egos and not causing any ripples than actually addressing issues and building quality software.
