Pros

There are some really awesome people that work there.

Cons

This company went from the greatest place I ever worked to miserable, in about 6 months. The current CEO apparently believes that a company can be run like a sports team (hint: it's a miserable environment to work in) - hyper-competitive, picking stars (favorites), pep talks compensate for poor treatment, title matters more than experience or ability, dissent from the team/group think (even when supported by data) is punished, etc. Everyone is on a need to know basis, and no one needs to know anything (you will have to fight to even get the information you need to do your job effectively). The level of hypocrisy is shocking (e.g., if we just tell everyone we value XYZ, will they notice that that we don't in practice?!). The senior leadership team ranges from brilliant but not loud enough to be heard (under the old regimen they didn't need to scream) to completely incompetent and lacking in basic skills. I got out just in time and found a place that respects my years of experience and actually has exciting work going on (two title bump and ~35% salary increase)! In general, career development/advancement opportunities are purely lip service - if you land one of the good bosses, you might get minimal help, but overall the company will not. They also underpay and offer mediocre benefits. The turnover in the field is out of control as well, layoffs started internally...it's a sinking ship!

Pros

Pay is decent for cost of living.

Cons

Because the original comment regarding the environment here was removed, this post will be somewhat more moderated. The senior IT director has no idea how to run an IT department, crowding it with inane and useless chores that make it seem that there is something being done, when micromanagement is at an all time high. Moreso, when anyone attempts to approach human resources to address the issues that the IT management have in high disregard, they can and will turn a blind eye to it, despite the fact they should be arbitrating fairly for the employees. Again, human resources will not aid the employee. They will aid the company (and their cliques and pockets in the long run). That being said, senior information technology management can attempt to have this flagged or removed, but given the circumstances, it's only a matter of time before their hubris will catch up to them and will put the company as a whole past the point of no return. Watch from a safe distance, and bring a tub of popcorn. (There is no aggressive nor discriminatory language, profanities, nor trade secrets/confidential information in this post. Moderators, do your job and keep the Glassdoor.com transparency that you have been known for, and DO NOT REMOVE THIS POST.)

Pros

Teaches you what sort of company you DON'T want to work for

Cons

Teams have huge cliques based in seniority and personality fit. Those in it have history and rapidly advanced for being favorites. Those not in it will have a hard time doing their job. You will be openly insulted in meetings, gossiped about, and made to feel incompetent. Most who dealt with it left the company within two years.
