This setting is not ideal for seasoned teachers seeking career advancement, as the administration does not adequately compensate experienced educators. After two years of dedicated service and earning $50k a year—far less than what charter and public schools offer—my request for a raise was met with the disheartening response, "You should not expect to get rich from teaching." While the school excels in nurturing young children and new educators, it falls short in recognizing and rewarding the efforts of its experienced staff.
