      A fast growing district but not supportive enough of personnel.

      Pros

      Nice facilities and many great people working there. Great students with a lot of potential. Great technical staff and paraprofessionals. Great support services.

      Cons

      Too many principals fired and teachers put on leave over minor things due to pressure put on board and superintendent by threatening parents.

      Teaching in the Texas Hill Country

      Pros

      Great part of the state to be in Very structured (pro or con). They follow their handbook with the educators Salary based on 10 months work

      Cons

      The amount of hours you work in those 10 months, exceed any year round 9-5 job Emotionally and physically draining majority of the time Teachers have multiple degrees, have outrageous workloads, are expected to always be "on", but are treated like children by admin with all the redundant paperwork that is solely to see if you are doing your job

      Pros

      It is nice to have the same holidays off as my own kid. The students are the only reason most teachers are still coming to work.

      Cons

      Treated like children. Constantly looking for reasons to "bust" you. A complete Us vs. Them mentality with administration. Aren't we supposed to be on the same side? Never back the teacher up. No matter how ridiculous the accusation. Lied to and then gaslite (you were never told that.) I started recording every one on one meeting for this reason.
