Important and impactful mission. Org does good work overall and there are good people.

Cons

Org too big. Mismanagement at every level nationally. Bureaucracy is killer. Many national staffers suck. Management has anti-union tendencies. Was treated horribly here, almost less than human. Really depends who your manager is, but I wouldn't recommend anyone work here. When I quit I had to recover for a whole month before starting my next job.

-States are doing good work and are largely unaffected from the nonsense at the national level -Health benefits are better than most places -Some really talented people throughout the org

Cons

-Management is anti-union and openly engages in union-busting activities -Refusal to address problem managers despite commitment to "holding power accountable" -Raises/promotions are rare and better pay is only for managers at national level -Lack of cohesion/collaboration across teams
