Pros
Common Seas is an organisation filled with inspirational colleagues who are experts in their field and have shaped programmes that contribute towards an important mission. There is a genuine passion for the cause and a deep care for the ocean across the organisation that adds to the drive to succeed. I have experienced some career highlights in my role, working with fantastic partners to build a programme that I truly believe has the capacity to inspire action. During my time here, I have been encouraged and supported to grow professionally whilst maintaining a healthy work/life balance. My achievements have been recognised and celebrated through praise and promotion.
Cons
Common Seas is still a relatively new organisation that has grown very quickly and is learning along the way. The CEO cares deeply about every project, contributing and collaborating across them all. However, as the projects are all broad in their approaches, audiences, and stages of development, this isn't always practical and can at times lead to confusion and frustration for project teams.
