Pros
Small builder that offers easy access to company owners and other employees Good teamwork atmosphere I was not micro managed I was given a company cell phone and company gas charge card
Cons
Although Commonwealth was good to work for, they did not offer me any retirement benefits. However, it should be pointed out that I was new to construction management when they hired me; I had 8 years working in the trades but no actual management experience. The position was stressful but that is any construction management position. The company atmosphere was good and provided a sense of teamwork, but the job had to get done no matter how many hours you have to work to do it; working extra time was normal and expected.
