Pros

Not many other than the kids

Cons

Severe Safety Concerns: As a Lead Teacher, I repeatedly reported physical safety hazards and student-to-teacher assaults, which were consistently ignored by administration. Hostile & Retaliatory Culture: Management fostered a toxic environment, actively undermining proper behavior interventions. After reporting safety violations and refusing to use unauthorized physical force on students, I faced targeted harassment, ostracization, and unfair disciplinary actions. Lack of HR Integrity: HR and administration weaponized policies, ignored communication, and denied protected medical leave (FMLA) requests. Discriminatory Practices: The organization ultimately terminated my employment under false pretexts, which included explicit, discriminatory remarks from HR regarding my child's disability. Advice to Management: Prioritize student and staff safety, strictly adhere to employment laws, and provide management training on discrimination, FMLA, and retaliation.

Pros

Leaving early and have extra days holidays off.

Cons

I unfortunately had to leave my position at CAFI due to ongoing issues with management and the toxic work culture. From the beginning, I noticed a lack of support and clear direction from leadership, which created an environment where employees felt undervalued and unsupported. In addition to poor management, there were frequent instances of a hostile work environment. The overall atmosphere was tense, with little effort made to address conflicts or promote a culture of respect. On several occasions, I personally witnessed and experienced discriminatory behavior that was not addressed appropriately, which was deeply unsettling. It’s disheartening to see a company with such potential fail to foster an inclusive, professional environment where employees can thrive. I would caution anyone considering a position here to carefully assess the workplace culture and leadership structure before making a decision.
