      Pros

      Has many services that help the community.

      Cons

      Employees are not treated respectfully; there's an us vs. them mentality; compensation is subpar; distinct hierarchy and employees are treated like 2nd class citizens; head of CA is more concerned about power and having control than anything else; high turnover

      Pros

      Clinical experience, team atmosphere, open relationships with leadership, community engagement with clients and staff, great agency mission.

      Cons

      Low pay for staff with Masters degree. $19/hour for a masters degree and full licensure is insulting. Awful high deductible insurance plans. Minimal focus of staff's wellness. Clients (no matter the appropriateness of fit, willingness for treatment, etc) are more valuable than staff.

      Pros

      Great way to learn about the Social Security Administration, Supplemental Security Income, and the Social Security Disability Insurance program. The position allows you to work with other entities in the community such as DHHS, General Assistance, etc.

      Cons

      The pay is terrible for the amount of education and experience required. There is no tuition reimbursement or assistance to offset the cost of the furthering education. The agency is also very lax when it comes to holding its consumers accountable or adhering to rules.
