Pros
The director, Hollee, does a great job advocating for this team as it continues to grow. This position allows for very client focused services with a team that takes care of billing and scheduling so I can do what I got into the field for: helping kids and their families. Brief pros: salaried work that is not dependent on client attendance, clear boundaries around time in and out of office, administrative support, benefits, in-person peer interactions, fun workplace events, casual attire, funds for helping to furnish office space, my OWN office space, funds for ongoing education...more I am sure that I am not thinking of.
Cons
The amount of sessions for the day is a bit higher than my previous position, but I believe that not having the duties of scheduling, billing, marketing, or reports of any kind generously offsets this. Not a space where there is much upward mobility. That is not something I am seeking, but is important for consideration for others.
