Pros

Coworkers and the immediate team I work with are great, with clinicians who are doing the best work they can despite burnout.

Cons

Unrealistic productivity expectations, poor communication within agency, high caseloads, threshold for monetary incentives are mostly unachievable, no OT available for behavioral health providers. No longer provides gender affirming medical care for minors despite legally being allowed to.

Worst place to work for

Pros

The toxic environment, lack of support, over paid leadership that does nothing to support the frontline staff and the CEO that makes over 500K in year “running” a federally funded facility over powers the pros which is the very few coworkers that make this horrible working environment possible to just get by.

Cons

Everything in this job is a problem. The CEO Mark is a money hungry individual who care nothing about the staff that gives him the 500K + salary. A person with no degree requires that every person in the company has one, if you have years of experience in your field, well in this facility that means absolutely nothing which has been reiterated by leadership. Leadership is a special group of individuals who again care nothing about the support staff the ones that take care of the patients on a daily basis they ensure that you are over worked, under paid, and that you are emotionally/physically/mentally drained. this company hires “leadership” staff for absolutely everything high paying salaries for people to just be a face in the public eye yet none to help or support their underpaid staff. The providers are overworked seeing an unrealistic amount of complexed patients with no staff and nurse managers that do nothing. The staff is not appropriate at all for their hard work, leadership thinks that an email is sufficient but I’d just like to say that and email saying great work we appreciate you does not pay the bills. CHC lacks business management, empathy for its staff, support, and basic knowledge on how to treat their staff. They are too busy advertising a book in which no one cares about, and one that has no value. In my opinion this was an egotistical move from Mark. My question is how does a federally funded facility have the money to pay for this book and all of the campaign but does not have the funds to pay the staff a livable wage. I am pretty sure a penny was not taken out of Marks 500k salary to pay for this, so is federal funds being used for this ? I am still a bit confused about it.

Toxic Environment - Don't do it!

Pros

Hardly any pros. I appreciate the friends that I made while there. They were my support system while working for such a toxic organization. I worked specifically for the Weitzman Institute of CHC.

Cons

The senior leadership are really toxic. They show favoritism towards certain staff and they are very condescending and rude. They treat staff like they are invisible. Don't be fooled...for an organization that is supposed to stand for fairness and integrity, they really lack that. I'm happy to be far away from this place.
