Pros

Good experience Doing something meaningful Paid a living wage and bonuses

Cons

Salaried position so they will work you as much as they possibly can (not uncommon to work 60-70 hour weeks) Upper management often does things at the last minute and you have to be flexible and go along with it even if you don't agree Understaffed so upper level employees are overworked

Pros

They pay is competitive (but the hours get so long that it turns out to not actually matter).

Cons

This place is an absolute sh*tshow. Terrible management and poor communication across the board. The interview process was misleading and they moved too quickly to hire a team. The organization was clearly not ready to train their employees. The work itself is tedious. Goals/rules/expectations are changed daily. Management blames other management for problems and nothing is ever resolved. There is also a lot of toxic positivity during all-staff meetings and it makes staff feel gaslit for having a terrible experience working for the organization.

Pros

-Getting paid to promote political candidates/causes you believe in. -Opportunity to grow in skills: HR (interviewing, training), Payroll, Staff Management --Sizable bonus for hitting goals and getting our candidate into office. -Definitely recommend to people who want to canvass- this company will pay you $18/hour to go door to door and you choose the number of days you want to work. (Not the same for full-time staff).

Cons

-Salary looks good until you are working 70 hours per week. -Many days with no lunch break till 4pm. -Hours are irregular 10p-10p- including weekends. -No days off starting 6 weeks prior to the election. - Lags in supplies from upper management (Ipads, chargers, gas cards) slowed us down and added unnecessary stress. - I would have liked more flexibility in shift schedules for employees who felt unsafe in the dark. - Seasonal job runs August to November
