Pros

This company has significant financial backing, so your club will have all the necessary equipment to operate at the best it can. Capital improvements are their main focus.

Cons

If you want to be a manager/director/GM, note; you’re results at end of month will never be good enough. Even if you crush your budgeted numbers, it’s never good enough. As a food and beverage manager, you will need to be a labor saver and lock yourself into an hourly position; meaning, you WILL bartend and serve daily, meanwhile maintaining the tedious financial application of showcasing labor $$ that you saved by being that person. You’ll have a spreadsheet that needs to be filled out daily and uploaded for the VP’s to evaluate, then tell you how to shave more hours from an already defeated industry. You can have 2 cooks in the kitchen on a Friday night based on this budget! In their mind, hourly rates in other states often apply to your own club, when they don’t! “This club in the Florida can meet their labor projections, why can’t you?” Well we pay $5 more an hour in our state, and the upper management wrote a budget on numbers from a state that doesn’t have the same minimum wage requirements. Guess who gets to fill in that gap? THE MANAGERS! The membership experience you have been trained to know and uphold is completely lost to the all mighty dollar. Verbatim quotes from the 5 VP’s they have are; “we will sell a 20k wedding in place of the members having beers after their round.” These are dues paying members that get put in the back seat of their own club for profit of a banquet event. Staff pay: I don’t know where to begin, it’s a tip pool system based on sales. Higher ranking individuals make a dollar more an hour based on experience. Captains/servers. You’re tip pool will come out with a large hourly rate due to those sales. Those rates will not be paid! From the VP himself: “ I’m not paying a server 30/hour.” So they average it out to a convenient 20/hr, and put the rest in a “slosh fund.” That slosh find goes to the bottom line. They literally steal from earned wages to inflate their NOI! This company has no best interest to anyone except their own bottom line!

Pros

Constant Clubhouse improvements and ability to purchase whatever is needed to get the job done, new materials, supplies, etc. - often times, this doesn't happen at Member owned clubs.

Cons

Where to even start... Concert Golf Partners is a rapidly growing Sales Company, yes, Sales Company, not Country Club Management or Hospitality business. The ONLY thing they care about is generating revenue by any means necessary, including treating their team Members, at any and all levels, entry to Senior, like a number. They prove time and time again that what is in the best interest of that specific Country Club and it's Members don't matter, if they are not making a profit. Membership experience - they've never heard of it. They (Corporate Office & Regional Managers) have created a culture that is unbearable to work in, leaving you always wondering when the other shoe is going to drop. They are sneaky, unprofessional, and extremely unorganized from the top down, and it clearly shows. There is no direct line of communication. It feels very much like they do not communicate with each other about their expectations of their employees, which leads to be constantly misguided, as an employee. Imagine, chasing a fumbled football...but still having some kind of expectation...yes, I'm confused too. If you are struggling, short staffed, etc. it makes no difference to them. They still expect that you not only meet your numbers, but exceed them and if you don't, they will threaten your job. They could careless about you working 12+ hours a day, if that's what is needed to hit your numbers. They expect one person to do the work of 3 because they don't want to pay to have more people on staff, that eats into their bottom line. My best advice...do not work for any Concert Golf Partners owned Club. Save yourself the headache, stress and anxiety of having to deal with their unorganized disaster while they try to the climb to the top. The only way you will be successful here, is if you think the same way they do. Also, their pay and benefits are mediocre at best.

Pros

The line level employees they hire really care about the guest satisfaction even though the corporation treats them horribly and does not help them in any way.

Cons

I do not know where to even begin. This company was absolutely the worst experience of my life. They do not care about you. They will treat you like they do, very fake, but they do not. I was involved in a very serious incident where an upper-level manager harassed me and it was "swept under the rug" and I had to continue to deal with him for the remainder of my year and half with the company. There is no professionalism within the upper management. They will use you and abuse you as long as they possibly can. I actually started having panic attacks due to the stress that they would put on me. They also do nothing to improve the state of the club. They have their managers lie to the clients to the point of no return and their events are ruined. I would never want to subject anyone to this torture. Thankful I am with a company that completely respects me and this dark period of my of my life is over with.
