Pros

At first, I was nervous because I never held a job outside of Food Service, but I knew that I wanted more out of life. I came to Conduit with no experience at all in Customer Service, but their staff and training teams not only gave me the tools to do my job effectively, they gave me a chance to succeed.

Cons

There are not any that I can think of, fill out an application and change your outlook on your career path.

Hi there - I loved reading your review. We know that there are many talented people our there that love helping our customers and that not everyone will have prior experience. That's why we provide the standard of training we do. it prepares you for your role and also gives you skills that you can take anywhere. Don't forget that we have a suggestion box just outside the Conduit Global canteen area and that we post answers and actions on our You Said, We Did board. Keep telling us your thoughts so we can continue to make our culture even better. Best of luck in your role. Emma Crowe. VP, HR.

Pros

What exactly is this? I was there almost 4 years and it was a complete nightmare

Cons

The upper management (if you can call them that) is a disaster to put it lightly and there's literally NO structure at that place. This place treats it's employees like numbers and besides the bonus which they've screwed many people out of, nothing else is worth it. Their main reward is pizza, Kool-Aid jammers or a piece of candy as motivation to do good. Granted they don't have to do that but this just seems more like a pre-school acknowledgement than anything else. I will NEVER recommend them to anyone....

I'm concerned by your review and would like an opportunity to discuss this with you. Our bonus is intended to be fair and is based on attendance and productivity so it shouldn't be hard to earn. If there is something amiss I would very much like to learn about the issues so we can put things right. Please reach out to me at emma.crowe@conduit.ie so I can understand your concerns better. Thank you, Emma Crowe, VP, HR.

Pros

You get a paycheck if you otherwise had no income.

Cons

Non supervisors are held to a higher standard than the "supervisors." All rules that apply to CSAs don't apply to supervisors. When you need assistance they are browsing Facebook on their cell phones, which CSAs are forbidden to have on their person on the floor. Training was worth not existing at all. As a new employee, you are held accountable for processes and "resources" you didn't know existed until you ran into that situation. While in production floor training, supervisors and leads do not or are not willing to provide support for processes and resources not mentioned in training. Sink or swim culture. Micromanagement is ludicrous to the point on a supervisor telling you where to sit, because they said so. You are accountable for meeting metrics your first week of post classroom "training" without being prepared for the job. Management treats you as if you have worked there a significant amount of time in the form of condescending remarks when you ask for assistance, because you don't understand a process or situation you were not trained to handle. No one in a lead position wants to handle an escalation and you are accountable for ownership of situations which you don't have the authority to make decisions. Without any guidance from week one on the floor, you are constantly confronted, and scrutinized for best judgement decisions made, when no prior education was given for a situation. You are the enemy to your employer. No personal effects at your workstation. Carrot on a stick incentives and bonuses. Metrics expectations are given and ramped up with no prior knowledge of them and last minute. Supervisors and leads ride you for call handle and hold times week 1, while you scramble to locate assistance for processes and resources you were not educated on. You have to clap and keep your hand raised for minutes on end until a supervisor (looks up from their phone or unprofessional conversations) or lead feels like coming to help, causing longer call handle and hold times. Training support is severely understaffed and unwilling to perform the duties of their positions since they want to avoid call at all cost.
