Pros

Generous PTO Comp snacks Benefits program

Cons

Unrealistic expectations. There isn’t fair distribution of workload. Don’t expect to get trained properly. Everyone is spread so thinly that training new hires isn’t a priority so you will be thrown into your role. Since it employs less than 60 employees gossip spreads very quickly and you will be told that certain people or departments are complaining about you. In 6 months our entire warehouse team quit. Many of us already had our plates full prior to the stay at home order. Things didn’t get any better after. I quickly noticed that I wasn’t the only one working 10, 12, and 15 hour days. I had informed my manager several times that the expectations weren’t reasonable. The reason for the high turn over is burn out. We were told that we would be compensated for our hard work but 6 months later we still weren’t even given praise. Many felt unappreciated and lied to. The company went through an acquisition recently and while management is optimistic, there is still a lot of uncertainty.

Job security is nonexistent here

Pros

Working days are short, benefits are good.

Cons

It doesn’t matter if you’ve been working at Confirm for 8 weeks or 8 years, there is absolutely no job security. To make it worse, management will repeatedly mention how “no more firings will happen” right after someone gets let go, and then they’ll forget about it the next month. Unprovoked, the owner whom you’ve worked with for 8+ years could be wishing you for many more years of working together, on a public Facebook post and 2 days later you can be fired (real story). No contact whatsoever afterwards and a “we don’t need to give you a reason” response is the only thing you will get once you receive a two minute call to let you know you’re fired. 10 people were FIRED in 2020. Another 10 found a better opportunity and left, and it’s been like this every single year. This isn’t a company of 100 employees, it doesn’t even reach 60. If the turnover rate is not the biggest and brightest red flag, then you’re choosing to be blind. It doesn’t matter if you’re a top performer, if you received an outstanding performance review or a raise. From warehouse entry level to CFO... there is always an excuse.

Pros

Benefits are generous, full coverage.

Cons

People from every department are quitting left and right. Between lay-offs and voluntary resignations we’ve lost one third of the company in 2020. The CEO tells us in meetings that we are growing, but we all know we’re only achieving goals because each of us is performing multiple positions. The owner of the company brought on a new CEO but she still undermines senior management’s attempt to implement best practices company wide. The interference is a root cause of half baked solutions, stalled leadership and broken protocols. It’s a morale killer. She bypasses HR and meets privately with each department, resulting in a conversation full of unanswered questions. Each time a new sales leader comes on board she promises retirement. Dispiritedly the new VP either gets fires or quits. The warehouse team has been reduced from a team of 10 to only 2, with the longest tenure being 2 years. Everyone’s role and basic operations are compromised due to turnover and temp employees. At a superficial level the company is “a great place to work” but regrettably that great culture is gone.
