Pros

-Free movies for you and up to 2 or 3 friends. -Discount on concession.

Cons

-Shifts are 8 hours long, you weren't allowed to sit during that period, which is insane for a job that pays so low. -Pay was very low, it was $10.00 at the time. Which is about average for a part time job, but trust me, the workload is going to change your mind. (It's $10 for a large popcorn and $10 for a large drink) -There were people who worked there for years and did not make much more than me starting. In fact, if you became a "captain" or whatever, you were given like.. a $0.25 raise to do more work. -The discount was half off of concession, but theater foods are notorious for being very overpriced. So even at half off you're being ripped off. -Duties were unfair in workload. I absolutely hated working concession. On busy nights the lines never end. You never get a chance to breathe. 8 hours of non-stop customers. The ground gets covered in butter, so not only will your legs hurt, but you will need to avoid slipping to your death. Ticket collecting and selling is much more comfortable in comparison. I don't know how they decided who works what, but in the 3 months i've been there i've only sold tickets once. -Taking out the trash was incredibly disgusting and often would get backed up. The bags they used were incredibly cheap. They ripped so easily. I feel like there's a lot more to mention, but let me just say, it was one of the worst jobs I've ever had. I worked at the busiest theater so that might be a big difference on your experience. But let me just say, when I worked there for the short time that I did, I've seen people literally come and never show up again. I used to think working at a theater would be awesome since I loved movies so much, but I was wrong.
