This is a very hostile environment. It is very much sales against recruiting. There's a lot of hostility focused on the recruiters during the 2 hour+ Monday Morning Meeting. This company has a high turnover rate for a reason, and it’s not the industry.
The hours you are expected to work, although not written, are crazy. I was personally asked, on numerous occasions, to stay well after 530 PM to set the example for new employees, while management would leave much earlier.
There is no work/life balance and you are made to feel guilty when asking for time off, even for medical reasons. When starting out, you are expected to put in hours over the weekend, but I can think of one occasion in particular when I asked management to help me with a candidate over the weekend because he didn't like how I was handling the situation – he was too busy but sent me an email.
There is no flexibility, even when you are a top producer. I had to give up vacation days while I worked from home due to a medical issue, even though I was tied to my computer and phone all day long.
Since it has been commented repeatedly that Consultis must be doing something right since they've been in business for 30 years, I felt I must bring to light the inappropriate, extremely hostile environment. Between the abusive language and inappropriate behaviors and comments made to females, this company has severe issues that will never be addressed or fixed because people choose turn a blind eye.
