Pros

-You’ll learn how to spot red flags in toxic work environments. -Meeting a few kind coworkers, though most are just trying to survive the same system.

Cons

-Manipulative leadership and emotionally exploitative culture. -12+ hour workdays with no real pay unless you're constantly recruiting. -Fake "business trips" that are just being sent to sell in different cities. -Forced to appear in social media videos to maintain the illusion of a happy workplace. -Morning meetings full of empty hype and no real training. -Misleading job titles — no actual leadership unless you bring in new recruits. -Told to cut off family and friends who questioned the company. -No transparency about what the job really entails — mostly aggressive, commission-based sales at supermarkets. -Leadership uses gaslighting to keep you compliant and isolated. -Personal relationships suffer — I lost my husband because of the pressure and control this job had over me.

Pros

Nothing positive, I worked closely with Kristyn Shetty and she does an excellent job at manipulating you.

Cons

I worked at CSG last year for close 9months, and I feel compelled to share my experience so others are aware of what they might be walking into. The company presents itself as an opportunity for business ownership and financial freedom, but in reality, it operates more like an MLM (multi-level marketing) scheme, where the focus is on recruiting rather than actual business growth. I was expected to work 12-14 hours a day, often with no real compensation for my time, and despite working long hours, I was barely making minimum wage. The company’s promises of business ownership and financial success are empty; they encourage you to keep pushing with the hope that things will get better, but they never do. Management continuously pressures you to stay, often guilting you into staying longer or taking on more tasks by dangling the promise of business ownership in front of you, but in the end, it felt like an endless cycle of working harder for less. The long commute added to the exhaustion, and the toxic environment made it even harder to leave. If you’re looking for a stable job with fair compensation and respect for your time and efforts, I’d strongly advise looking elsewhere. I wish I had known sooner about the reality behind the glossy pitch.

Reviewer, We respectfully disagree with the statements made in this review. Consultive Strategy Group is not an MLM, and while team members may have opportunities to build and lead their own teams, advancement is earned through performance, skill, and effort—not through exploitation or misrepresentation. Our focus is on developing leadership, sales, and professional growth in a results-driven environment. We recognize that a fast-paced, goal-oriented workplace is not the right fit for everyone, but we remain committed to providing transparency, support, and the resources our team members need to succeed. Pros

- Looks great on your resume after quitting. - Could be a decent entry level sales job if you decide to stay as a sales rep and not participate in any of the "leadership training opportunities" - They hire everyone with a pulse.

Cons

- No work life balance. You WILL work 12-14 hour shifts or you will not make money. - Cult-like office culture and manipulation tactics to get you to stay. - Huge focus on "training" and "building your team" - to help you progress further up the pyramid. - Predatory and malicious, outdated high-pressure sales tactics. - Hiring mostly fresh college grads who don't know any better or people in shaky/unstable life situations who need the money.

Reviewer, We disagree with the characterization shared in this review. As this was left in 2024, we also want to note that our organization operates as a legitimate, performance-based sales environment focused on training, development, and providing clear pathways for growth and advancement. We do not engage in or support the practices described, and expectations around responsibilities and compensation are communicated during the interview and onboarding process so candidates can make informed decisions. We understand this type of role is not the right fit for everyone, and we respect that different people are looking for different things in their careers. We hope you’ve found a position better suited to your skill set. Best, Management
