Pros

Not many pros, the CTO is a pretty fun and reasonable guy to work with once he respects your opinion. That’s about it.

Cons

The CEO is dishonest (literal lies told to customers and employees), lacks any management skills, and lacks professionalism due to issues controlling his emotional outbursts. The CEO listed on this page is for the parent company in Germany, but look up the CEO for the actual El Segundo location. The el segundo CEO would be at best a junior manager in any other properly run organization

Pros

-Coworkers are great -Nice office surroundings

Cons

-You will be held to unrealistic expectations that are jot humanly possible, all for the sake of growing CE referred to as the "baby." - Pay is low and people who start after you will make more money than you. -Training is non-existant or very poor, yet superior results are expected. -Morale is low due to management trying to get rich off our hard work -Not appreciated -Easily replaceable

Pros

Nice location in El Segundo

Cons

One of the worst company I have ever worked in. For those looking to work at CE, do NOT send in your resume for whatever position is open. I don't know where to start on how the business is ran. Starting from management, it is the worst. There is no sympathy what so ever and the amount of passion he has (VP) towards his employees is about nothing. As long as you're slaving away for him, you'll see him on his good day. But god forbid something is going wrong and he gets stressed out because then WE (the employees) will get it. He will release the anger onto us and then we get angry. We get monitored as if we're in jail and if he sees you doing something you are not, he will stand behind you and watch you for another 30 seconds more. It is to the point that we don't get thank you's or great job but "how much work is left" and "I need you to do more". If this is something you like then by all means please apply.... The company does not pay employees on time and its a continuation of at least 4~5 pay periods where people don't get paid, checks are bounced due to insufficient funds, or hard checked are written out 1 to 3 days after we are supposed to get paid. Speaking of pay, there are employees who get paid more than standard and yet they throw work assignments for us to do so their work is easier for them. There are two shifts at the company (morning and night members) and there is so much garbage talking between the two that work environments are hostile. People in the AM speak poorly about PM and vice versa. They complain to Management (VP) and nothing is done about it. Our desks are old and cheap. Our computers are old, slow, cheap, and crash all the time so we cannot do our work + we jump from desks to desk. The office space is large with five to 6 rooms and yet the company is small enough to fit into 1 and a half rooms. This is because the company eventually wants to grow into a thriving and booming one but how can it if the upper management is awful, the company fires people bi weekly, and they are losing money with no clue why. Board members from our HQ location (Germany) have been visiting the office and changing the whole system of how things work. Obviously the company is doing quite horribly if this is the case. And interesting enough that once they leave about 10 people got fired or layed off. And the reason was because part time is redundant and they need to save money. But what is funny to me is that we lose almost 40% of our company and nothing was said to anyone. Everything was from a word of mouth. The employees and myself do not know the real reasons and some of us are worried if we are next. No statement was given except the usual "do this before you leave tonight". So as of now the company is a strong population of 20+ and no raises were given from the horrible pay some of us get. The only thing the company gives you is coffee in the kitchen and late paychecks. There is NO opportunity of growth so the best advice I can give to anyone still here is to get your resume cleaned up and start applying before you're let go. Employees who have been working here longer than most are gone which proves 'seniority' does not exist. It's falling apart. It really is. It is also sad to see that people are dependent on getting paid to pay bills but the company has failed to compensate for the work we do. No raises have been issued, everyone lost their motivation, people are dropping like flies. I just wish we could talked to our HR department when I had the chance... I forgot we never had one. I might as well talk to the office managers of the company,.. wait we don't have them either. If we need to vent or explain whats wrong it goes straight to the VP who 1) does NOT listen or care. So whats the point? Get out while you can.
