Pros

Free coffee. Some of my colleagues were actually really lovely people, particularly in UX, Sales and the former Head of Project Management. Not very many other Pros that I remember.

Cons

1) The entire business model Convertize employs - of using interns who charge out cheaply as 70% of their workforce - will soon become redundant because of Brexit (no more cheap EU national students!) 2) There is a huge difference in the treatment of employees who have been at the company several years, and those hired in the last 1-2 years: Newer employees are not trusted as readily and are given less freedom both in their work, responsibilities and in their approach/style. 3) HR stick their nose into the day-to-day work of the average employee way to much - instead of giving their line manager the freedom to decide their working style and goals/objectives, and as a line manager with direct reports your ability to manage your team is impaired.

We do have interns from Top European Universities like Oxford, HEC Lausanne, ESSEC, Centrale Paris and Berlin Business School. We are very proud of them and it’s a pleasure if we can help them to start their successful career in any way. Interns are appreciated at Convertize because they are bright and dynamic, making a significant contribution to the company. I see nothing wrong with having interns, although your number of 70% is a huge exaggeration. Thank you. Corinne - HR Manager

Pros

I enjoyed working with my team whilst I was there. Apart from that, there are no positives to working at Convertize, aside from the repeatedly mentioned 'character building'.

Cons

- Their interview process was mostly irrelevant to the role and long-winded. - How the company is run and managed is very different to how they want you to perceive it externally. - I could relate my experience at Convertize with all of the other negative Glassdoor reviews. - I was not given any sort of induction to my role - just expected to get on with it. I was introduced to my team by receiving copies of their CVs and their personality test results... - The 'culture' is non-existent – this ‘start-up’ culture is a load of rubbish. The office was always silent. The only thing they do to engage staff is a ‘monthly breakfast’, but you had to go in early for it… - The comments they keep stating on here about Convertize being a ‘challenging and enriching environment’ is just their way of saying they will take advantage, micromanage and bully you. - More than half of the company were interns (there will probably be a response from them after this is posted correcting my figures and something about 'we do have interns from Top European Universities' which they like to copy and paste repeatedly. I apologise if they have adapted their modus operandi to include more than a handful of permanent staff...but I doubt that is the case. - During my short time there, the interns were treated poorly. ‘Management’ calling an intern the stupidest girl in the world, is sexist and discriminatory, as one of many examples. - 'Management' are married, which I only think added to the level of unprofessionalism, politics and nepotism. Nothing you say is confidential. - The management structure is a complete totalitarian dictatorship. The majority of staff work in fear. ‘Management’ were constantly changing their minds, getting involved in minutia and micromanaging, which makes productivity very challenging. - I was told that I was expected to work more than my contracted hours, which is illegal. I then felt pressured to stay later every day after that to avoid future confrontation. The majority of employees work later out fear of retribution. - They do not have any regard for employee welfare and will fire people without reason or warning.

I will just reply this: I didn't know it was allowed by Glassdoor to post 2 reviews about the same company in less than 6 months. Especially from someone who stayed only 3 weeks and did not pass his probation period. Philippe -CEO

Pros

- Free access to the gym - Free coffee And that's it...

Cons

This experience was really bad in my opinion. There is a huge difference between the offer and what you actually do in the company. The management is based on fear, injustice, and has no sense. - Terrible (!!!) management - The turnover is impressive (A lot of people get fired or just quit) - No company culture - People get fire for no reason - No career opportunities

I'm sorry that Convertize didn't work for you. It would have been helpful to mention your group. But since you said you stayed less than 1 year and based on your writing, I can only understand that you were a French Intern. Your allegations are very negative and do not reflect our company culture, so obviously I disagree with the above. I really hope you will find a company that is a better fit for you in your next internship... Philippe - CEO
