Pros

none that I can think of off the top of my head

Cons

Poor leadership, allowing older male employee to harass multiple young girls, leaving them in tears and scared to come into work, along with around poor behaviour. “Longest standing employee” thought he ran the place but started to develop a bad taste in his mouth when it became obvious no one respected him and upper management viewed him as a joke, giving him special titles to try and stop him from always complain, haha this place I could go on all day. Oh and really bad wages, often hiring migrant workers and treating them very poorly

Pros

If a lack of leadership and management and a lack of communication and an unorganized strategic direction appeal, this is the place for you. There are some talented, great employees here and while I'd normally say come here for those connections, they're all frustrated and are either accepting the depressive state of affairs or are job searching and won't be there much longer.

Cons

Extremely hierarchical, and the leadership team does not bring in the people necessary at the start (or middle, or end) of key projects, which likely is the cause for the unorganized strategic direction. Everyone I know who has left CooperSurgical said it was the best move they could have made, and those who still work there are eager to leave because it's "such a mess". Male leaders here are aggressive and make their teams feel uncomfortable (I saw this first hand - not my leader, but it was very apparent and witnessed), or they blatantly make sexist comments that wouldn't pass muster in any other professional organization. I was fortunate enough that the leaders I had didn't fall into these categories, though their passive leadership and myopic view of ensuring their success above all else allowed for these behaviours to perpetuate. It's no wonder this company is struggling - they don't empower their people, have terrible communication practices and create an environment where only a few thrive.
