Pros

- Unlimited free access to lifts and tubing hill with your employee ID - They participate in Colorado's "real deal" program which means you can ski free at most of Colorado's ski resorts with a voucher from HR - Employees are pretty relaxed and fun to work with - Lots of overtime during the holidays - Working when the mountain is busy and skiing when the mountain is empty - You get "pro deals" which is a substantial discount on all kinds of equipment and gear - Free bus from the mountain to Frisco (the nearest town) so having a car is convenient but not necessary - There is usually at least one employee event every month sponsored by Copper - They are fairly good at recognizing employees that do their jobs well

Cons

- You get paid what equates to the area's unofficial minimum wage - Employee housing consists of a roughly 10x10 room with a bathroom (think small hotel room) that is often shared with another person. There are 2 kitchens shared amongst all residents - Don't EVER count on working a 40 hour week, if its not busy you get to go home..unpaid - Towards the end of the season your hours are drastically cut and your job can end suddenly - Employee parking is a mile from where you work but there are buses that run loops around the resort from 7am to 11pm even if you live in employee housing - Sometimes it seems that you are getting fleeced by the resort...a LOT of your money goes right back to the resort in the forms of rent, food, and drinks - The health benefits are a joke - There is not a lot of room for professional growth

Pros

Free Ski Pass! That's about it. Also Free Down hilling in the summer and mud months. Its a few hundred dollars for the pass. Worth buying yourself and not working there.

Cons

Incredibly unintelligent employees. Salary's are below 30,000 and the work place is paranoid and toxic. Really just the worst, it's amazing the place runs.
