Pros

-Opportunities for advancement -Flexibility if you're a good worker in good standing -Love the work, even though it can be challenging -Lots of sick, and vacation time given and higher accruals with longevity

Cons

-Dealing with guardian demands is very challenging and guardian behavior is often unacceptable. -Staff ratios and individuals' needs make it difficult to be person-centered, but they keep pushing for a more person-centered approach. -403B available for retirement, but company does not match. -Wages are too low for the Chicagoland area overall.
