Pros

Sometimes they give you free food.

Cons

Alright so I worked at Costa Vida for about 3 months. I have a regular job that pays well unfortunately uncle Sam gave me a big bill at the end of the year, so i decided it would get a second job to supplement the income. First off Managers: They had like 5 of them, and they where all friends (pretty sure half of them live together) so if you could imagine lots of drama in the work place. Because they where so buddy buddy with each other nobody accepted responsibility and all had a really immature attitude towards everything I also feel that the only reason why some people where in those positions is because they where friends perhaps Im wrong, but then again i had a closing manager walk out of a shift for 3 hours on the dinner rush, and his excuse was "i laid down at home to long because i was tired" if that doesn't say privileged i don't know what does. Another thing about that place is that the main manager talks down to you a lot. I've been in and out of the food industry for 4 years and haven't received the amount of disrespect that guy gave me, kinda talked to me like i was a peasant and he was riding a white horse through Uganda. Please don't let my personal Experience discourage you from pursing a job here, you wouldn't want to miss out on what they call "coasting the vida" .

Pros

Not a single one. There is literally not a single pro to working for this company.

Cons

Excessively long hours being paid less than every single other employee. Owners are very immoral and act like a group of frat boys. They make decisions that turn out poorly and then blame random other people that were not even involved in the decisions process. You will be fired randomly without any warning for something you didn't have control over or knew was even a problem. The worst part is after you confront these supposedly "Mormon" people about their actions and how they treat people they will start a campaign of lies and disinformation against you. This is to make you look like a horrible person and make you feel like you did something wrong when in reality you were just being used as a scapegoat by a couple of rich white boys using the money daddy gave them to party and ruin other peoples lives. Do not work here.

Pros

Food/Brand/Concept is terrific. It is undervalued due to the mismanagement of the leadership. CV has potential of being top Mexican Fast Casual but is hindered by leadership incompetence.

Cons

Generally, management behavior is filled with fear, mistrust, and verbal abuse (bullying). Specifically, Franchise Sales system is flawed and broken that cannot yield successful results. Franchise Partner Candidates are typically frustrated with the opportunity to buy in. There is very little to no marketing budget for lead generation activities, the Discovery Day process is fragmented where there is minimal support from CV Leadership, and there is next to no sales management support.
