Poor Management. Pls Avoid! Especially Freshers!!!
Pros
I joined as a MBA fresher here in 2012. Had a good learning curve on the job about recruitment process and way of interacting with clients only because of few good people I came across in Covenant. I am thankful to them always, but not the management. Few pros I can think of are, 1. Infrastructure 2. Can interact with senior management easily
Cons
Cons are plenty and never ending! Biggest Con: Being a Christian myself, I feel bad they promote Christianity to the maximum instead of running a company! They are biased towards Christians and you can't see much Hindus/Muslims. In simple words, utterly unorganized organization who is blind and deaf to outside world, corporate life, culture and employees' cries. Other cons / Areas of improvement: 1. Strict with LOP/EL deduction even if you come 2 mins late. A security guard at entrance makes a note of your daily attendance. 2. No Flexi Timings. 9.30 to 6.30 for Female employees, 9.30 to 7.30 for Male employees (Provided you finish your daily target, else stretch till 9.30 or 10 PM) 3. All Saturdays working. (Even in Death bed, you should come to office and can't avail leave) 4. Sometimes they bring in some Christian preacher in the name of motivational speaker. 5. No proper training facility available. You can start work from Day 1. 6. Even if you achieve targets, they will set the bar high and postpone your appraisal. 7. Take home salary of 9800 (Horrible pay for MBA grads looking at current Indian Economy) 8. Set of idiotic Christians who are there right from company's inception are now sitting as mid level and senior level managers irrespective of their lack of knowledge, educational background and management skills 9. Strict adherence to 90 days notice period policy whatever the case might be. They also make your life even harder by not giving proper relieving letter ultimately resulting in many people sacrificing their experience and leaving without papers for a better opportunity 10. Fraudulent in many ways. One example being, they hid the last 3 digits of my PF number in payslips which made it impossible to recover my PF amount. 11. If you join them, they think you should work for them till retirement, If you quit for better opportunity, the so called company's CEO, Director along with Admin and Finance team make sure that your exit process is horrible. Also can impact or spoil your future career during background verification if you don't leave Covenant properly 12. According to Covenant, Employees are Slaves. 13. Meaning of Fun Activities to them is Christmas celebration and Biryani Day (A day in a year where they provide you with badly tasting biryani for the achievements you have done so far) 14. No place for Life in Work-Life Balance. Just work. 15. 100% money minded senior management people who doesn't pay a penny to it's employees. 16. Totally non-existent HR policies
