Pros

Covenant had a great benefit package and matched 4% at 8% in the 401K. They mainly promoted from within and had leadership and training programs. If you worked hard you could go from $50,000 to $70,000 in a couple years. Overtime is available and they gave out a yearly bonus and raise. They offer flexible scheduled for families, 4/10

Cons

The hierarchy is steeped with cronyism. It's understandable because you need to know who you promote but they miss out on very qualified individuals who move on. The turnover rate is very high. They've had an employee deficiency since the very beginning. The moral is very low. Almost non-existent.

Pros

None. This job made me depressed. I am now distrusting of others.

Cons

Pretty sure I got PTSD from this job. I am now depressed and untrusting of others. -INADEQUATE TRAINING ABOUT THEATS Almost all officers will not recognize a threat at the x-ray. My knowledge base about weapons, IEDs, & firearms is honestly from Youtube. Kubotans, OC spray, & stunguns come through all the time. -I give my supervisor a brassknuckle/bottleopener. Not recognizing the shape, she gave it back to the passenger. -YOU ARE THE SCAPEGOAT: TSA runs fictitious threats to test security. CAS disciplines near termination level to please TSA. That's same for other disciplines. -YOU WILL BE BULLIED BY SUPERIORS (Episode 1): Your superiors will get you in trouble just for fun. I never talk to anyone for this reason. One day, A director from TSA actively distracts me knowing he ran a test bag on me. -YOU WILL BE BULLIED BY SUPERIORS (Episode 2): Supervisor runs test on me before I finish my on-the-job-training. I was tested on something I've never learned. It was my 1st week. Supervisor advises to terminate me. -YOU WILL BE BULLIED BY PASSENGERS: Too many stories to tell. Long story short, people will lie and cheat to get their way. Some are just beyond stupid. -IN CASE OF EMERGENCY, CAS IS THE SCAPEGOAT: CAS directs complaint away from TSA -ALMOST GOT FIRED DUE TO MANAGEMENT'S CLERICAL ERROR: I've never been late. Randomly got 4 levels of discipline out of 5. THREE disciplines were for the same occurrence -obviously an error, exact time & date. Told management to fix it. They changed it to 3 like it was some sort or negotiation. I SHOULD HAVE LAWYERED UP. But I knew I was fine because adults don't arrive late to work. Real adults don't lie about their mistakes either. -BROWN NOSE FOR PROMOTION: The promoted get away with doing 5% of screening. Psychopath will fit in just fine here. -Only 10min window to clock in&out -Tardy 7times in 3mths = fired -Must stay half of shift or else AWOL or Unexcused Absence -3 AWOL = fired -3rd sick day requires doctor's note -Can only pick vacation 6mths ahead. -National holidays + busy weekends are blacked out or have a reduced pool. -Only 50hrs available per day for vacation (~6people) -Only 10hrs LEAVE NO PAY (1person) -NO BONUS Except for one holiday luncheon NO FREE PARKING: ~$3.5/day offsite parking. The shuttle makes you late. $13/day x 251days = $3263/yr onsite parking

Pros

*Low qualifications *Part time benefits *Pays higher than minimal wage

Cons

*Management Team *Inconsistency *No free parking (Have to pay $1000-$3000 a year out of pocket) *No job security, funny since this job is here to DO SECURITY. *Schedules are terrible, they don't encourage self improvement and education (no time off for students, you will be terminated for wanting to go to school.) *Stop firing people if you don't have enough to cover shifts * This is a private company running America's security and aviation safety for efficiency instead of safety as its priority.
