Fun workplace with a meaningful mission but chaotic direction

Pros

Great office, fun and very friendly coworkers, great events, the mission in itself is good

Cons

Chaotic, not sure how it's still surviving to this day. They have had several layoffs overtime since I was laid off from there. Mission is good but the way to achieve it seems ambiguous and it seems like they lack a clear direction

Pros

-The team is passionate about making a genuine impact in patient care, which creates a strong sense of purpose day-to-day. -Colleagues come from a wide variety of schooling backgrounds, which makes the workplace intellectually stimulating and culturally interesting. -The office itself is beautiful and provides a pleasant environment. -Long-standing team members are deeply invested in solving the company's mission and are truly dedicated.

Cons

-There has been significant executive turnover. Leadership instability is frequent due to the founder's approach—bringing in executives, granting broad autonomy, then limiting their influence, which leads to disengagement and exits. -People Operations was previously a standout feature, but changes in HR leadership have shifted the climate toward fear and uncertainty, eroding trust. -Diversity is lacking, especially among senior leadership. Women face barriers advancing beyond Director level and often depart shortly after reaching this threshold. -At one point, there were no merit-based raises for a year and a half, which affects morale and motivation. -The main product lacks clarity and definition, which challenges alignment and long-term growth.
