Pros

-staff is genuinely kind and friendly

Cons

-communication from management is abysmal and sometimes abusive. Both in delegation and setting expectations. -poor pay and benefits -it is not a good sign when management is arguing with their negative reviews rather than actively addressing the issues many former employees had. -nepotism at the management level, which is always a recipe for disaster. -micromangement and lack of trust from management.

In response to this rating, we are sorry to hear this about your experience at CrafTech. This feedback came from an anonymous person, but we realize that CrafTech will not be the perfect match for everyone. Some employees have stayed here for 8 years, while others may realize it’s not for them. CrafTech has been rather successful at hiring true talent and building a strong, dedicated team. However, a bad fit happens here and there, and our ultimate goal is to find a dedicated person that recognizes and supports a friendly and well-balanced work environment. We always try to create a thriving workplace and positively impact our work culture, but can’t please everyone. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

CrafTech is my first job for a corporate company. Coming from the restaurant business with a degree in graphic design and minor experience with web design and marketing, CrafTech was a great opportunity for me to enter the field I studied for. The manager was out with Covid when I first started, so taking initiative was needed to understand the ins and outs of the company. Asking questions and communication plays a huge part in working at CrafTech. Though every employee has different roles, everyone is friendly and easy to work with. No one will give you knowledge without asking. Everyone is focused on their own tasks and responsibilities. Research, self-motivation, multi-tasking and the ability to adapt is encouraged and will benefit you and the company in the long run. Management and employees are respectful and helpful. We like to have fun as long as the work gets done. If you are self-motivated, a team player, take initiative, and can manage to pull your own weight, CrafTech will be a great fit for you. 1 hour lunch is great!

Cons

Despite all the pros, training could be improved on for new coming employees to understand the workflows, responsibilities and securities in place for working here. Street parking isn't the greatest.

Too good to be true

Pros

The job initially presents itself as having opportunity for upward mobility, and it is okay for people already working there that are set in their ways. The senior employees have sway with the owners. Most of the employees are genuinely nice and they will all initially be friendly towards a new hire.

Cons

Management is weak, disorganized, and compensates by using intimidation that creates confusion and unrest. Passive aggressive behavior and overstepping of boundaries is not disciplined because of the mentioned management style. It causes a lot of finger pointing within the small group of employees. There is a lack of accountability and avoidance of responsibility. People are not awarded proper credit for the work they do perform. The work culture is chaotic because of a select few employees, who are both chastised by the owner and allowed to act in an inappropriate manner.

Someone with a poor concept of what it takes to manage a business may think management is weak. I’ve heard that before and everyone always thinks they know better the moment they walk in the door. Obviously the long term employees we have don’t think that way. However, new hires these days get comfortable very quickly and hardly meet expectations. We’ve also had employees thinking that browsing Facebook all day and hiding the cell phone in the bathroom is an appropriate thing to do in the workplace. Others do the bare minimum and think they can move up! I’ve been hiring people for 30 years now. Some are a good fit, others aren’t. Life goes on!
