I have been working at Cranbrook Schools

    Pros

I get paid, it is easy and there is NO stress!

    Cons

Work is repetitive, there are the 'cool kids' that push their weight around, the parents have no sense of social norms and professionalism in the workplace is a rarity

I worked at Cranbrook Schools part-time for less than a year

    Pros

You get to work with a variety of kids that are genuinely interested in the classes, if you keep them engaged. They cover certain field trips that were a blast. You have a decent amount of freedom getting materials to do certain experiments.

    Cons

Budget cap was tough to fit a couple big experiments into that I really wanted to do. Administration was strict. We had to work July 4. A lot of drama within the administration - pretty difficult to work with.

I worked at Cranbrook Schools part-time

Cranbrooks campus is simply incredible. Various different sites to see all throughout the area and a lot of interesting monuments in the art academy

    Cons

    I worked at Cranbrook Schools

    Pros

The Cranbrook Art Museum allows interns to learn a lot in a short amount of time. I received a lot of hands on experience and the people were incredibly welcoming.

    Cons

I do not really know of any down sides for working for Cranbrook Schools. I enjoyed my internship there immensely.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Cranbrook Schools full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

People I work with are smart and for the most part, motivated to do a good job every day. The setting is absolutely incredible. I never get tired of the beauty of the landscape and buildings.

    Cons

Lean staffing so everyone is so busy you can't even get an email back when you need help with something. Everyone is operating on all four cylinders at all times and hardly anyone is slacking, it is just hard to get things done if it involves cooperation of anyone else. So many meetings that make it hard to carve out time to actually enact anything that is suggested in the meetings.

    I worked at Cranbrook Schools

    Pros

I worked under an amazing and intelligent supervisor with interesting and knowledgable colleagues. Daily tasks were stimulating but not overwhelming. This was a great experience.

    Cons

The only downside to working here was that I could only work a set amount of hours because my position was funded by grant money. Also, some of our equipment was out of date.
