- last minute cancellations were completely unexpected, and they happened all the time. there were only 3 days I worked out of the week since they hire for part-time and they kept canceling right before the session so my time was wasted and I would have to be accommodating to their demands while I was not getting paid for my time or mileage reimbursement was not an option either. - they require you to have a car but they do not pay for your mileage or parking etc. - evening timings/after school timings so you have to work in the middle of the day. this does not leave much time for other plans. - the supervisor I had was not understanding or kind in any way and was not capable of working with kids at all let alone kids with autism. - I was basically working as a babysitter because when my supervisor was not around, the mother of my client would just leave me with the child I had to work with and her daughter and she would just go inside her room and not supervise her kids but leave them to me. Being in someone else' home is difficult when you have to tell them what to do and they react in a negative manner. -the company gets paid for last-minute canceled sessions but the employees do not. - extremely high turnover rate because people keep quitting knowing the horrible work environment they're thrown into.
