Pros

Not really much to say here.

Cons

There are no clear expectations or long-term goals and strategies to adhere to. There is this guise of goal setting and strategic planning, but these change on the whim of the Partners current moods. Last minute requests and issues created by sloppy strategy take up most of the workday so no progression on long term projects can get done. Communication is awful between departments and between teams. They LOVE their Silos. Departments are so siloed that collaborative projects take weeks or even months just to make simple decisions on go forward strategies. No one in “Management” (term used very loosely) takes responsibility or accountability for decisions or actions. They all wait for a majority consensus to emerge and then hop on the bandwagon. There is a particular Partner who is the absolute definition of toxic. He is not qualified for the position he holds. He will bully anyone below him and lie/blame his subordinates for things “breaking”, even though he’s the one that issued the orders to make the change. You explain that a complete overhaul will be an 8-12 month difficult project. Which is NO PROBLEM! at that point in time… And then you’re harassed, daily, and brutally, while you try to do what you were hired to do. There’s no reason to voice concerns about this person, because the other Partner is so far checked out and removed that it just falls on deaf ears. And he prefers to keep it that way. They’re super intimidated by outsiders who come in and immediately know more about what’s going wrong in their business than they do. Everything in this company is reactive. You put out one fire and six others pop up that you are now required to deal with. There’s also a very “pro-mentality” of “Equal Opportunity”; yet a very big push to dismiss claims of sexual harassment and an unofficial, off the books rule in place to uphold discriminatory practices towards an employees sexual orientation.

Pros

They pay higher than minimum wage for warehouse positions. Salespeople are greatly favored

Cons

Inventory was always off. The production crew takes almost all the heat for it even though there's dozens of employees that could've been responsible. The only people I've seen get promoted in-house are people that the owners knew personally prior to hiring them aside from sales or reception.

Pros

Uhhh. Man this is hard. Oh free food. Love eating string cheese and grapes that 40 other hands have touched. YUM.... Oh and on Fridays they have bagels.

Cons

You have 7 different bosses that all tell you to do something different. And say when boss A tells you to do something one way but boss D comes along and says it a different way. Does boss A go to boss D to find out whats up?!?! NOPE you get in trouble. If you have a problem that you know only a specific person can really deal with effectively can you go right to that person??? Nope you have to go through the "chain of command" uselessly wasting an entire day without the answer. Best part too is you will probably interact with the person you actually need 2 maybe 3 times through out the day but cant just ask them the question you have. They dont drug test so a majority of the warehouse employees are high or drunk. The work is boring and repetitive. Unsafe workplace. The " X amount of days since an accident" sign usually cant go past 10 if you are lucky. One guy lost a finger.
