Pros

The only reason I'm still here is because I love my families.

Cons

Where do I begin? Unethical practices and under qualified "clinicians".

Pros

Good overall training, small company so you know everyone. One very awesome supervisor names Sarah!

Cons

A lot of gossip, and all of shady behavior. If you overstep or report a manager for misconduct, they find a way to get you in trouble for it. Therapists are expendable to them. They never offered me a raise in two years! I had multiple positive reports from supervisors but never got offered a pay raise. Supervisors become lazy and stop showing up to the clients house - you end up having to be supervised by someone less experienced. Also, don't even think about giving your ideas when it comes to a client! Creative solutions for Hope is the worst name for this company because it's a lie. They are all about sticking to what they know and never going outside the box.

Thank you for your review and the compliment on our training and Supervisor. I'm sorry that you had a negative experience working for us. I have never worked at a company that didn't experience some level of gossip. You have to take it with a grain of salt and consider its source. Our Supervisors are regularly graded on performance through client and employee surveys. We take feedback seriously and address the matters accordingly. Pay increases are not "offered", they are earned. We are constantly collecting data on our employees and we perform formal annual reviews. We hold our therapists to high standards and those who are not able to meet the standards do not receive pay increases. Our successful therapist are rewarded with above average compensation and benefits that exceed our industry standards. Although you were not able to reach the level needed to succeed at CSH, you should continue to strive to educate yourself and become the best therapist you can be. What you do is so very important to the families and kiddos! Keep striving for greatness and we wish you success in your next role.

Pros

Made some great friends with other therapists; families and children were wonderful to work with. Some of the supervisors were great, but they unfortunately didn't last long. I learned a LOT about ABA interventions for someone who did not pursue a BCBA. The shared control approach was highly effective ( pivotal response). Laminator and materials for making stimuli. great to see families gather to company events and feel safe and accepted...something they struggle with in public regularly.

Cons

Interesting how there is a pattern of raving reviews written with the same promotional writing style in between hugely concerning reviews. I don't know anyone who would advertise mundane benefits in a review such as " 401K, benefits, bonuses and competitive pay!". Who are you kidding. I worked here a few years ago and needless to say, I struggled greatly. The insatiable expectation to be sensational while being micromanaged by sups was only the beginning. I would receive feedback...implement the feedback the following session only to be told I should do it differently. This cycle continued over time so I started emailing the supervisor to "confirm" the feedback given with a paper trail. I started writing lots of detailed emails. One particular supervisor became so obsessed with the work I was doing that he was asked to stop coming to my sessions by upper management....which he violated and came to my next session and just stared at me with his arms crossed. Didn't say a word. HR handled the matter by switching my cases. So I quit as I did not want to work in a place where such behavior was tolerated. CSH encouraged double billing as often as possible especially during groups. This made me uncomfortable. Calling out sick was a nightmare so I worked while feeling ill, even with a virus once. It takes years for a therapist to be " eligible" for consideration as a case manager. The internal growth moves at an acient pace.

Hi, thank you for review. We encourage a family culture here at Creative Solutions for Hope and do our best to create activities and events to engage our employees. We do offer a lot of learning opportunities and this company is a great place to grow and develop your skills. I apologize that your experience was not all positive. We do not ask or encourage our employees to write 5-Star Reviews on Glassdoor or any other review site. We only encourage feedback by our employees so that we can better ourselves as a company. The Supervisor's behavior that you experienced is completely inappropriate and not at all tolerated here. We have a communication plan in place so that this confusion does not occur. Regarding sick time, we do not allow our employees to work in the clients' homes while ill. Regarding growth, we do have a role for every step in the company. Employees start out as an Entry-Level Behavior Therapist, then after getting your RBT, they will become a Registered Behavior Technician. Then, we have three level of our Senior Therapists. After that we do have our Case Managers, which do require a Master's degree. For traveling, we do try to keep our therapists within a 25 mile radius of their homes. However, we do ask during your interview that you list cities that make up your travel range, so you may be placed in those cities as well. For hours, we match your availability with the client's availability. So, the more availability that you provide us, the more likely we are able to schedule you. Our peak hours are weekdays 2-8pm and we do ask that you also have one weekend day available. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please email us at info@cs4hope.com.
