Micromanagement and constant criticism undermine potential

Pros

If you've ever wondered what it's feels like to be micromanaged as if you're a toddler who just discovered crayons, this is the place for you. You'll never have to worry about becoming overconfident—you'll be reminded daily that you're wrong, even when you're right. Exceed expectations? Great! The reward is learning that it still isn't enough. Training is overrated. Why waste time teaching you when they can just expect you to magically know everything from day one? Enjoy a thrilling game of "Guess What We Wanted," because clear communication is optional. Holidays are just regular workdays with extra disappointment. No holiday pay, no holidays off—because family time is apparently a luxury. Love weekends? So do they... which is why management expects you to spend yours working. Experience the excitement of working chronically short-staffed while somehow being expected to perform the jobs of three people. Watch leadership celebrate saving $1 an hour by refusing to bring in a nurse to cover a shift, proving that pennies are apparently more valuable than safe staffing. Benefits may sound amazing during the hiring process, but discovering what you actually receive is part of the adventure. Feel the constant encouragement of being treated like you're incapable of making a single decision without supervision. Develop an impressive tolerance for being harassed, second-guessed, and criticized by your administrator, no matter how hard you work. Become a master of doing more with less—less help, less support, less appreciation, and somehow even less staffing. If you've ever wanted to know what it feels like to work yourself into exhaustion while being made to feel completely replaceable, this opportunity delivers.

Cons

Excessive micromanagement with little trust in employees to do their jobs. Employees are often made to feel incompetent rather than supported. Minimal to no formal training—you're expected to know everything immediately. Constructive feedback is replaced with constant criticism. Even when expectations are exceeded, it never feels like it's enough. Little recognition or appreciation for hard work. No holiday pay and limited opportunities to have holidays off. Weekend Manager-on-Duty responsibilities can make work-life balance difficult. Benefits and workplace expectations may not align with what was presented during the hiring process. Leadership style can feel intimidating rather than encouraging. High expectations with limited support or guidance. Overall culture may leave employees feeling undervalued and constantly second-guessing themselves.

Pros

The IT department worked very well together as a team, and were liked and respected by the majority of the company’s staff.

Cons

Management was chaotic and disorganized. Difficult or impossible to receive compensation beyond 3% a year. While the team is well equipped for remote work, upper management insists that the corporate staff report to the office.
