      Good Service Work for a Service Town

      Pros

      One of the highest grossing Tip wages for a bars in athens. Free Beer. average with hourly at 7.25 is about $23/hour

      Cons

      Exhausting work, often demanding customers (students, parents can be relentless and entitled). Definitely feels like the part-time and full time taproom staff is at the bottom of the company. Throughout covid, it felt like our needs were the lowest priority.

      If you are not in the management circle you will not be listened to. If you GACE discipline actions the company is willing to lie in writing and go back on their word. There is NO work done to encourage diversity (100 employees, 0 were non white). Women bartenders have been let go because they “don’t smile enough.” There is a get ahead by any means attitude between co workers. Management will string you along with promises of new responsibilities and titles and not deliver.
