Pros

Good Pay Nice office Great coworkers, nice people

Cons

Was initially brought in for a full-time junior data engineering role and was told I would get the opportunity to learn and grow. From the 1st day, I was micromanaged relentlessly and expected to produce unclear results. I was forced to constantly walk on eggshells with my manager without clear direction or guidance. I was brough onto a team with only one other individual and we had lost a major contract as soon as I started. Could not discuss unreasonable expectations and micromanagement with my manager who would hold grudges and make condescending passive-aggressive comments. I had 0 training and my only teammate was completely overworked. He and my manager only came into office once per week, while i was made to come in 3-4 times a week. I was let go with abruptly with no warning or performance plan/PIP in less than a month. Performance expectations were never communicated to me, I wasn't given any notice of a probationary period when I was hired nor given time to earn my badge to access internal resources. I was not placed on any projects, but was told I was being let go due to "performance". It was an absolute nightmare working at Credence. I was severely underpaid, not given any mentorship or guidance (this was a Junior role), and was bullied and micromanaged by a horrible manager the whole time I was there.

Pros

Competitive Pay Seemingly caring corporate staff

Cons

Bare minimum benefits PTO combined with "sick leave" and marketed as above average vacation time (it's not) Smile and say one thing to your face, then turn around and completely let you down aka "not genuine people at all" don't be fooled by their happy disposition, it's all so they can get contracts

Contractors Beware – You Are Just a Number to Credence

Pros

If you wanted to get your foot in the door at USAID, this was once a viable pathway. But with USAID nearly dismantled, that advantage no longer exists.

Cons

If you’re a contractor, stay far away from Credence LLC. They do not value their employees and see them as nothing more than disposable assets to win and maintain contracts. Most recently, they terminated almost 400 USAID Global Health (GH) Bureau employees due to the Stop Work Order on foreign assistance - with zero advance notice, zero severance, and zero regard for the people whose work made them money. This is just one example of how little they care about the people who keep their contracts running. Historically, they have been terrible to contractors: - No sick leave in the initial package—GH contractors had to fight to get us a mere five days (non-rollover), which wasn’t even extended to other contracts. - Gaslighting on pay equity, raises, and reimbursements. Asking for fair compensation or justified increases often resulted in dismissive or misleading responses. - Issues with travel reimbursements and constant runarounds on basic entitlements. - A culture of indifference. While there are some good people in HR, the company as a whole operates with one priority: maximizing profit off government contracts, not supporting employees. If you’re looking for stability, fairness, or even basic respect, Credence is not the place for you. They will discard you the moment it suits them.
