Good for people who are okay with trying a variety, do not expect system here.
Pros
- Ample opportunities available once you label yourself as a person who is happy to take up adhoc assignments. - You will grow and learn in a very short time if you are willing to go with the highly unsystematic flow.
Cons
- They do not give designations on paper. They will make you the President of India, but you will not be allowed to share with anybody that you've become India's president now, nothing will come on paper as well. - No documented policies - To my surprise, nothing here is documented. The policies change as per the mood of your manager and the HR. Just depends on what kind of a day they've had at home. Do not expect these guys to be rational, the higher management which sits in the US only talks good, nothing gets percolated in India. Only the HR and Managers in India get to enjoy all the perks, the same will not apply for the employees by and large. - HRD here per me is the weakest arm here, hence a lot to be written about them. Least knowledgeable people, having no work, will always be found in the cafeteria. The has been successfully been able to exploit the organizations loopholes as Senior Management doesn't sit in India office. They behave like owners of the company - Their understanding of "House-Keeping" staff is probably incorrect, which is why they use them for household tasks (They will get their lunch boxes washed from house keeping guys, they'll get their cars in the parking cleaned from them, they'll take them to the d-mart which is in next building to pick up their heavy household shopping bags, etc.) - They are nowhere up to the industry standards. Good news is - Most of them have very recently left the HR dept and the HR Head from Pune has not visited the office in past couple of months. Hope the management takes this as an opportunity to hire some genuine HRs. - Few managers pay an odd visit to the office. - They are no more giving those lucrative salary hikes now, since there clients have started to pull back the projects, major reason why most employees have left in recent times. Management might count this as a forced attrition. Anyway, attrition in recent time has been good for the company since they've lost projects.
