In NYC, the culture is good and local management great. Corporate management is clueless, wealth hoarding and green washing
Cons
You’re lucky, even as a lead, to make more than $20/hour. There are licensed aestheticians and makeup artists on staff, who have worked there for years, and bring is so much money, and they get .20 cent raises. Almost no one makes over $20, and they say no whenever you ask for a raise EVEN IF YOU GOT PROMOTED. They offer no benefits and NO BONUS to sales associates. If you want to survive in NYC financially, this isn’t the job for you. They are so cheap.
