Cons

During my time at this company, the management team went through a transitional period. The current manager stepped in after the previous manager left. While she is committed to her role, I found her management style extremely strict, micromanaged, and unsupportive. This role is not a traditional Accounts Receivable position—it involves managing and analyzing data, creating reports, and evaluating partner performance, rather than billing, collections, or cash application. Much of the manager’s approach seems motivated by a desire to receive credit for her team’s performance and to demonstrate capability to upper management, rather than genuinely supporting the team’s success. Requests to adjust schedules were scrutinized, often met with rigid or inconvenient solutions, and sometimes inconsistent explanations—such as being told I couldn’t adjust my hours for a family matter because “collections aren’t done that early,” even though my work did not involve collections. Expectations, rules, and guidelines were frequently unclear or constantly changing. Many times, I was asked about my availability for tasks, but when I followed up, no clear instructions were given. Broader operational issues, like partners not completing collections as required, were often ignored by management, leaving employees to navigate conflicting priorities and unclear responsibilities. Feedback was focused on mistakes rather than offering guidance or solutions, and support for learning or collaboration was minimal. Overall, this management style is rigid, self-serving, inconsistent, and unsupportive, making it a challenging environment to work in. In the month of December and January 6 people at left the corporation. This is not your typical turnover in a company.
