Pros

They provide great services to the community. Staff care and are committed to helping others. Nice building, good coffee.

Cons

There is an very defined hierarchy/chain of command although they espouse to have an employee-centered, open-door culture of mutual respect. They even brag about this. Policiesare enforced inconsistently and subjectively. Day-to-day treatment of staff is not good, especially for a behavioral health agency, led by a social worker. Very disappointing. Little job security if you are not in the inner circle. Top heavy lots of exec staff. What started as inspiring leadership has been replaced by management out of touch with staff, and not caring enough to engage, listen to and retain their most valuable asset- committed employees.

Pros

Good experience in crisis intervention and somewhat competitive pay. Work schedules are flexible due to the call center being open 24/7.

Cons

Supervisors and managers are disconnected and actively micromanage staff. Very negative work environment, where supervisors base performance on their opinions, rather than company policy/requirements, which management lacks knowledge in. Excellent performance is overlooked, as favoritism is rampant and it’s very difficult to move up within the company, let alone get a raise. As a result, there’s high turnover several times a year leaving the call center routinely understaffed and causing current staff to be overworked.
