Second attempt at telling the truth and enabling change
Pros
- The peer group was incredibly smart and fun to work with, one of the best I've ever experienced. - The remote accommodation and "workcation" were awesome benefits of the job. - Great CRO experience
Cons
- A tremendous amount of turnover in the product role. The only longevity is in the leadership team. Turn and burn. - The job is repetitive and most of the PMs don't have any actual ownership. It's much more of a project not product role. - I posted another review that the CEO had removed, validating that the culture is not what it seems on the surface or what is "sold" as part of the interview process/job description. - The culture is at it's surface "familial" and casual, but insidious at it's core. Product managers are broken into a shell of themselves via a veiled interest in building the culture. I have never felt as small, insignificant or undervalued after 1:1s and performance reviews. - The original review articulated that there were significant leadership issues, including an odd nepotism where a relative to the CEO provides employee performance feedback while not being in the day-to-day - The CEO is calculated and narcissistic who will attempt to win at any cost including compromising the mental health of his team, as well as removing Glassdoor reviews. - Imbalance in treatment of women vs. men in the product role.
