Pros

There's not a lot of work involved. You can take breaks whenever you like, for the most part. Easygoing coworkers--from the deli and the crew.

Cons

Usually understaffed. Picture a sea of boy scouts, all wanting chicken tenders and fries. You have two fryers at your disposal. God save you. Casino patrons are the main source of income for the company. Harassment goes without punishment. The company has enough money to sweep any pending lawsuits under the table.

Pros

The only beneficial thing of this company is the jobs they offer to people from overseas. Americans stand no chance with this company of you work for the deli.

Cons

Management sucks, hours if you get more then 2 shifts suck, benefits forget about them, food sucks, accommodations don't exist, untrained people fix broken equipment, half of the non American employees do not read write speak or understand English, there are never enough people on your crew, according to management you are wrong even if you didn't do anything and work conditions are deplorable.

Pros

Had to list Cross Sound Ferry as unable to list Thames Shipyard Repair Co New London CT . It is the same ownership but separate company entity. Pay was decent, required 50 hours minimum, averaged 55 to 60 per week. Overtime was paid after 40, time and a half on Sunday.. Too much work, not enough time or specific skilled craftsmen. Holiday bonuses, health coverage are good.

Cons

Its a shipyard, work is unpleasant at times, small confined spaces inside ships, cold in winter and very hot in summer. must dress appropriately. Absolutely no meetings on a monthly, weekly let alone a daily heads up. More efficient and organized attempts at getting the projects done is not only frowned upon but obstructed by coworkers who have been functioning in this manner for decades and cannot envision a more effective methodology. Attempts at working more efficiently will make enemies. Therefore a system of fear and loathing prevails. Disorganization was rampant in my shop. Storage and materials blocking access to other materials and storage spaces and shop tool quality at the lower end of maintenance and precision. Repeated attempts to organize and run smoothly will land you in hot water and prime for management to negatively look for anything to red flag and fire you. Regardless of routinely staying late to get projects completed... Too many employees have substance abuse issues or social issues which leaves them with no recourse for other employment. Therefore cannot be trusted or counted upon
